True to form I'm a little late to the party on fun and games... missed the OG SMT10 release but time was on my side now that there is a raw builder kit.

Originally picked up a builder kit during the Black Friday sales when they were $140 shipped. Thats a good deal for a pair of AR60s, metal gear 3 gear trans, WB8 shafts etc.. was just trying to get axles for another Bomber build since my son steals mine all the time but built the SMT10 just to see how it was. Threw a 3800kv Amazon special 3660 sized brushless setup and 35kg servo with Jconcepts Firestorm tires and RC4WD 2.6 beadlocks.

Unfortunately that one was stolen along with a fully built Yeti over Christmas...

But after only running the last one maybe 10min before it was re-appropriated I knew I wanted another one. So build #2! Same builders kit start, 3800kv 3660 GoolRC brushless and another 35kg servo. Went with Golden Year tires and am still waiting on rims but threw some 2.2 MTRs for testing.

Luckily my body wasn't stolen from the last one

I've ran some packs threw it and love it. Wheelies, jumps... all the bashing fun. Front Trailing Arm wasn't pleased with life though

And put 100mm limit straps with cheap Amazon front Sway Bar

Rough start man. But looks like it didn't take long to get rollin again. Looks like a fun rig.

Doing my best to just keep moving forward with it. Did learn from the initial one that locking the rear from the get go is better for what I like doing.

Also its so good with the 2.2s I'm hesitant to put the 2.6s on. Keeping an eye on the stock pot metal Ring/pinions with brushless power. During the build I shimmed them for better contact but definitely seeing some wear in the rear. Simple upgrade to HDs when they finally let go.

RC3WD wheels came in so I completed the arduous task of removing and promptly un-removing a laughable number of screws to install tires. Oh the things we do with an aversion to glue..

After an extended session of driving the tail gate was dangling by its last nerve so to do a less mega truck cut the back panel was surgically reattached a la' Frankenstein method because this is MT not destined for SBG. For your viewing pleasure Stubb Butt... or 60% Arsed...

Little spoiler action going on there too #racecar

This is the 3rd and likely final vehicle this body will adorn. I think I painted it a decade or more ago, certainly got my moneys worth and I dislike painting lexan as evidenced by not being good at it so no rush to replace.
