CONGRATULATIONS to everyone for such an astounding season. This season brought out the most drivers (118 :shockand the best driving.
Without further delay, your season winner is....
Brandon (Nluvwithxlr8ing)
Brandon ran the season smooth and consistent AND took the season series without dig. No one person dominated the series, but Brandon's consistency really paid off in getting him the coveted Nor-Cal series championship title. Spectacular driving and always a great attitude, Brandon deserves the title and goes down in the history books of Nor-Cal champions. Brandon is a driver for Team RCCrawler and Team Shake & Bake.
In second place, Dustin (51504rock) comes in a close second nearly eliminating the gap between him and Brandon. Dustin was the 2007 Nor-Cal series champion and was the intimidator as he always drove a tight game. Falling back in the series points at the mid point of the series, Dustin pushed hard and came back to take home the 2nd position spot. Dustin is a driver for Team RCP & Team Shake & Bake.
In third place, Dean (Chino63) was the series leader for a good portion of the season, but the last event dropped him back to third. Dean was a very creative driver trying lines that no one else would think to attempt, nor would they even make it look as smooth as he did. His progressive thinking in his rig and driving lines pushed him to the top of the group. Dean is a driver for Team RCP & Team Shake & Bake.
In fourth place, Daniel is just one of those drivers that is able to make his rig walk the toughest lines. He won't back down from a bonus gate challenge and when his "A" game is on, he will walk away from the field like they weren't even there. Daniel was the winner of the 2006 Nor-Cal summer/winter series and has kept his skills up with the pack.
In fifth place, Sam (SlinkySam) - that's me, I took a new rig to battle with a scale-ish tuber based off of TINY and some radically different suspension and axle designs. Though it was not a traditional comp rig design, it had some capable features that kept it in the series. I was the winner of the 2005 Nor-Cal fall series and the 2006 winter series. SlinkySam is a driver for Team RCCrawler & Team Shake & Bake
The biggest thanks goes out to all the judges, photographers, videographers, and event coordinators. Without everyone helping to set up these events, there would be no event.
Here are the official scores. Based on the last event, some scores may change. Once all details are in, a link to the entire season will be posted here totalling everyone's final finshing position.
The new season will be starting shortly. We look forward to seeing you guys out there.
