I was wondering if anyone had any experiance stretching a 2.2 tire to fit on a 2.6"/clod rim. I was looking to do this with a 2.2" imex all-t. I know some people have streched some clod sized tires to fit onto maxx rims so I figured maybee I could do the same with 2.2"s on a 2.6 in rim.
Thanks

main reason I want to do this is becasue it is on a radio shack based project which has not standard hex sizes, but the rims are 2.6 and fit clod tires. I know they make the All-t's in clod size but damn those things are wide. :-( the 2.2 All-t's just seem to be the right height and width allready. I guess I could narrow the clod size, hate to do that to a new tire though. I am just checking out all my options. Last option is to canablize the rims I am using to make an adapeter for more common size rims.
thanks again

i just did this today and cut the heck up of the clod rims and mounted 2.2 all-t's on them and here are some pics too. did this to mount the all-t's to my jugg2 scale rig.

cool beans. 8) so was it a big stretch to make them fit or was it pretty easy? Did you have to modify the tires at all? How tall to they measure now?

Use a heat gun (on the tire) sparingly. I got ofna pirate tires on 40 mambos that way. The tips of your fingers will sting for a day. :flipoff:
