Picked up the partially built ibex chassis from Harley from this thread (http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/axial-wraith/436056-harleys-ibex-goat-built-wraith.html) to build a 1:8 replica of the ibex I am building (as found here: MNorby's Goat Ibex chassis build - Pirate4x4.Com : 4x4 and Off-Road Forum). Fixed a few things and making a few mods to match more like the 1:1.

How I received it:

So far I have re-done the shock mounts and squared up a few things to be more in line with the 1:1:

I picked up a set of 100mm kings for the front and 110mm for the rear but the rears are too short for the setup without loosing the scale chassis shape. Looking for a set of powerstroke shocks now as I see they are 98mm front and 118mm rear. Once I get the suspension finalized I'll start on the electronic mounts. Also want to add a dig transmission so on the lookout for a deal on one of those too.

Found a little project box that is nearly exactly the right scale as my 1:1 fuel tank. Used a piece of strape to mount it with. Once the fab is done I will finish weld and sand the bead smooth. Also had to re-do the rear upper shock mounts again to lower them down about 3/16" so the axle doesn't run into the chassis at full bump. Need to add the shock mount to upper B pillar tubes back in again.

Messed some more on this. Built a battery tray up front and added a handful of more tubes. Its near scale to the 1:1 except for a few items that the wraith suspension and axles need different clearances for.

Got the electronic mounted in the fuel cell box and took it for a quick test. No oil in the shocks yet and it took a tumble off the bench and bent the upper windshield bar. Got it straightened out and going to go ahead and add the roof brace bars. Was originally thinking to not add them since will be covered with a roof panel but think I will now.

I'll get back on it here next month whe I go back to winter hours at work. I did pick up a parts wraith for axles, etc but would eventually like to do the VP Currie in it.

So you goin to give the same scalness as your 1:1 rig? BTW just got done goin through the build thread looks bad ass bra, I would have commented but forgot all my login Info for Pirate4x4.

As much as I can. That's why I had to change a few things from how I got it to be more to the real ibex chassis
