After killing another NSDRC RS700V2, I was looking for another 4s capable direct power low profile servo. I saw a few posts on the 1Tenth BMF1095L and the specs are impressive:
  • 8.4v - .13sec / 55KG
  • 12.8v - .085sec / 75KG
  • 15v - .072sec / 80KG
  • 16.8V - .065sec / 85KG
  • IP67 waterproof
Brushless Motor
Stainless Steel Gears
Comes with a 1 yr bumper to bumper warranty covering electronics and gears.

Normally, I'd stick to big known/established brands for servos, but after what I've gone through so far this year, I figured I'd give it a go. I had to take the bottom half of the case off to get it into the BTA servo mount on my F10 Portal and noticed it does not have o-ring coverage all the way around. Just a gasket on the long sides and o-rings on the screws. This truck will never intentionally be submarined so I'm not too concerned with that but I put a little silicone grease on the case halves before bolting it back together.

Its fast. Its strong. It made it through a whole comp without self destructing. I'm impressed so far.

Pretty pricey for an unknown brand. How is it treating you these months later?

The Hitec DB950SW is in this price range ballpark at $139.99.

I ran it in a couple comps then the Holmes 650LP came out and I decided to use that instead. I was relying on the Holmes name which hasnt quite worked out like I had hoped....Anyway, at the moment, the 1095LP is sitting in my RC go bag as a spare. I am thinking about building a 4 wheel steer Optic or C3 over the next few months so it will eventually be used.

It did feel like the fastest and most powerful servo so far, but I did not use it long enough to test durability. The guy who got 2nd place in our local comp series ran one the whole season though and he was happy with it.
