Switched the steering/drag links around to stop from anchoring every rock i encounter. Lol

Had to pull my winch apart. Wires fell out last season so i needed to resolder a new JST connector.

Fab'd up a steering stabilizer using an old scx10 shock i had kicking around.

Purchased Stage II foams for my front tires. The stock foams were horrible. With all the weight on my axles tended to fold the tires right over the wheels in corners. With these new Nova foams, its much tighter now. Atleast it doesnt fold & now it really bites the rocks!

Nice build so far, but I must ask, why do you have the front axle pointing down like that? You would get sooooo much better steering if you'd clock them back and get longer shocks to make up for the ride height dif

The pinion of the diff is pointing up and at the transmission output?

As for shocks..these are all i have for now. It used to be a monster truck with clodbuster tires.

Just fab'd a front diff skid for the axle. Get a better idea how the steering stabilizer works in this pic.

For the 1st time i managed to get a solid test run with this rig. Although its still missing a body along with other details still on order... It did very well and im impressed!

Figured id chime in on this rig as an update...
Apparently due to HPI and their financial troubles & the legal work whilst Ripmax takes over, my 1979 Ford F150 supercab lexan wont be here until late September.

It appears that this project has been forced to come to a hault until things move forward.

:(

1st official run on this rig this afternoon.

Only two things:
A. The front axle needs to be set back a bit. Easy fix by cutting my custom links up front.

B. Snapped a rear WB8 driveshaft like a twig with this being a 10lb beast. Ill have to look into Yeti driveshafts made by MIP.

Other then that...this is a fun rig to run.
