18 years after being kidnapped...

It's on the homepage of CNN.....big article.

I'm not a big Communist News Network  fan so I never check there site. Thank you for the heads up though. Did you see the video with the excerpt from the interview where this sick #%^& says this will be a "heart warming story" once the victim tells the story:evil::cry:. This poor girl, now grown woman, has to be so mind $%@#ed that anything positive she could ever speak has to be attributed to brain washing and intimidation. Her reality of life has to be so small and scewed it's so sad that words fail me to describe.

The only reason I saw it was because they have CNN playing on a TV in our patient waiting room....and I happened to walk through when that story was on.

See I didn't see that as a valid reason to live with your kidnapper and rapist.

Leverage. She was kidnapped as a child, and probably mentally and physically dominated. Then she gets pregnant and it is two "grownups" against her that can take or harm her children. She probably felt helpless until now, maybe she got scared that he would do the same to her children.

Stockholm Syndrome

Yup, That and Patty Hurst were the first two things that came to my mind when I read this last night. By the time I left for work today all three major cable networks were covering this and apparently the bastard kept the car she was grabbed with too! Also could have sworn I heard something about a religious connection that the kidnappers had, but it was little more than a blurb and hadn't heard anymore before leaving for work.
