I'm seeing 3brothers has released 10-pole sensorless motor.

Is the there a considerable difference in the smoothness in this 10pole vs say a 6pole? Thinking at some point sensored motors won't be worth it if they just keep increasing the amount of poles in these motors......

My understanding of it is as you increase the amount of poles you lose drag brake ability. I know outrunner motors have high pole count but they also have more space to cram extra poles into it because they are on the outside not a tiny rotor on the inside

I got one of each of their 10 pole motors. The 1600kv non-sensored one shipped on monday, so hopefully I'll be able to test it out this weekend. I'll let you know what I think.

Any conclusions made on the new motor? and what ESC is powering it?

Haven’t had a chance to get it on the rocks yet, but it seems pretty badass. Creeps slow as hell.

Mamba x, 6s.

6s! Jesus. Haha

Looks like a great combo…almost sounds like an out runner though

Only on startup. My Holmes Hobbies Puller Pro 1200kv stubby sounded even more like an outrunner.
