1/18 RC4WD Gelande ii Axle/ drive-train slop

I love my Gelande ii .., with just a Hobbywing 1080 upgrade its a pleasure to drive. The only issue I have is the amount of slop in the drivetrain etc.
The most pleasure in this hobby is producing video., but with the amount of slop it’s hard to film a smooth slow crawl.
1. Is there a fix? Tighter axles? I don’t see how a couple shins could fix this amount of slop...

Any help would be appreciated....

That’s the only thing I hate about mine. The slop is just so much. Mine can move 1” or more before the slop stops it.

Mine doesn’t turn left very well either. Something in the axle thumps as it rotates at full lock.

I bought a new front axle for mine and it did the same thing so I gave up and it is what it is for me.

So if you find any replacement axles that work good, I’ll be watching this thread!

I’m half tempted to slap some scx24 axles on mine. If that’s even possible. I haven’t checked. But I’m down to Frankenstein mine.
