    Play in Link Mounts

Hi, I'm nearing the completion of my Land Cruiser CR-01 (at last!) and now notice that there's a significant amount of play or slop in the link mounts which are assembled in Step1 of the manual. This means that there can be quite a lot of movement of the wheel or axle before the damper starts...

    Axle tight when diff. locked.

Just building the axles and housings up on my CR-01 Land Cruiser. Everything turns smoothly until I screw in the differential locking pin then it goes a bit tight to turn and feels a slightly crunchy. Is this normal? Do they just need time and use to wear in? Regards, Dave.

Hello, First off, let me introduce myself since I have never posted anything before. My name is Vince and I live in the Seattle area. The whole CR-01 thing is kind of new to me. In fact, I kind of had trader's remorse after I traded my Honcho for it. But now, I am starting to love it. After...

    chimera project : bodyless Cr01

Being a huge fan of the old toyota Fj’s and my last Rc experience dating back to my youth, I bought a used Cr01 rtr with a land cruiser body on an impulse. Pretty satisfied with the general look of the car despite the awful paintjob from the former owner, I started bashing it around and really...

Recommend a servo for around $75

I am looking for a servo to replace the steering servo in my CR-01. My last servo only had 108oz of torque (came with the truck), so anything will be an upgrade. I run a Spektrum DX-3.0, so I can run both digital and analog. I was looking at the Hitec HS985MG. Any opinions on this servo...
