TinyTrux TRX-4 Sport Kit Build-out

Looking good and the purplish/blue masking tape at least in photos on a pc monitor looks pretty nice too. I know what you mean about having proper paint weather, we hadn't had any for awhile until off and on several weeks ago. :)

Edit, printed my own license plates before using pc, but that ebay link looks pretty nice and price is good.

Appreciate the encouragement guys! And dungeonracer glad you got the plates ordered!

Did Rustoleum Spray in Bedliner for the bed and liked it so much I decided to do the fender flares as well. Was originally just going to paint them flat black but I think the slight texture gave them a more realistic look. It flattened up after curing overnight, not nearly so glossy*

Unwrapped it last night and it looks pretty great! Pics over lunch when I can get it out in the sun. "thumbsup"

Would look great on the Raptor! This was the stuff: https://www.rustoleum.com/product-c...-bed-and-undercoating/truck-bed-coating-spray

Some indoor pics after I got the mirrors, snorkel, light buckets and a few decals on. Hopefully get it out on the trails today or tomorrow! Thanks guys for following along so far! Pretty pleased overall with how it is turned out

Dude, thats an awesome color combo! Job well done buddy!
And yeah, now get out and scratch it up! :D

Wow I really like the 2 colors and the design. Nice work [emoji106]

Very creative way to transition from met. green to gunmetal! I like the Sport body, particularly with the Expedition package, which is why I bought the whole unassembled kit. Can’t wait to get my shed and get a workspace setup for building stuff again!

Thanks for the compliments! Figured I'd post a couple pics up to show how it looks before the Scalerfab PreRunner Front Bumper that I ordered last week comes in. Also, my 20KG servo decided to fry itself after about 4 hours of use..of course halfway through my first comp over the weekend haha Have another on deck and if this one goes I suppose I'll spring for a hundred dollar Savox.

Great pics and the best lookin' Sport out there as far as color scheme goes. :)
Cant wait to check out what mods you have waiting for this.

I think this is such a great paint scheme, definitely one of the best I've seen. I liked it so much I thought I would copy it, hope you don't mind. So the kit arrived and I put it together with a few hop ups, knuckle weights, ally shock towers, Hyrax tyres and did the front bumper upside down and it went together OK.

Next to painting, and I am the worlds worst. Every one I do has major flaws and I keep saying the next one will be better but it never is. Patience is my problem, I have none and I am the measure once cut twice/three, four times type. I know it's wrong but too old to change now.

Paint I chose was the racing green and gunmetal with silver over the top so should be the same as yours except my skills are poor so did a single transition from green.

I spayed the black first, arches and bed, then the green at the front, so far so good, and then I started to spray the gunmetal but picked up the silver by mistake, Doh! what a bozo. Of course it was too late then, so now mine is green and silver, gutted really because I so wanted the gunmetal. The silver is growing on me, slowly but I keep looking at it and thinking what could have been. I put the truck bed liner on the outside and wow, that was such a good idea, that looks really cool.

So here she is,

I'm really liking the expedition rack, minus the accessories, if only to fill in all the holes.
Can't decide if it'll impact performance too much. Holes or extra high up weight?

Might make a 3D printed minimalist one which uses the same mount holes.

This is my issue. I dont wanna put the accessories on, but it looks a little awkward without them.

Yes, true. My other thought on it was to cut off the back and leave the bed connectors either side and the rack above the cab so leave in the thick upright and cut there, what do you think, it covers up all the holes and protects the roof, plus you can fit a roof light bar there.
