Arkansas Recon G6 "Hills Have Eyes 2" Oct 10th

Yea I'm kinda retired so I plan on making a mini vacation out of the event. Let's call it a 10th scale vacation.

I'll be running my generator some. How much will depend on weather, but I like to be cold when I sleep. Coffee will be made and batteries can be charged. Its the built in genny so its quiet. Most likely I'll bring quite a bit of food. Boudin seems to be a hit with the folks who cant get it much and we have a great meat market right by my house that makes it.

I'm trying to talk my wife into running the G6 with me on my backup Honcho (or I guess I could slap some 1.9s on the Wraith) but she has never even driven a crawler so she thinks she will look stupid. I'll try to get her to get a little practice on my course here at the house.

There is a KOA RV campground pretty close by if you need an RV spot. I'll be roughing it there in the RV since the ORV park is booked up.

Gulpha gorge is a park/camp spot..
We crawl there often. Nice place.

Yes,search and rescue...
If you wish make it a zombie search/rescue."thumbsup"

You tell her to c'mon!
Ill send her and my gf out together if need be..

Every woman thats come or thought about coming, has said the samething..but at the end of it says,I want my own rig!!

Luv me some boudain , the key is , just don't tell anyone what's in it! Lol.

Years of military and marriage have taught me to answer only the question that is asked in this situation:
"Whats in boudin?"
"Pork, rice, and spices."

I'll definitely be bringing spare rigs (including a Yeti to sell) so she will have the option. I'll try to get her to do a little practicing. The Honcho is pretty much ready to roll but I should probably gear it down a little from stock. If I painted it purple she would probably be more likely to want to drive it. Women... :lmao:

Yes you are correct! I let my mother drive my jeep once. The next thing I knew I was building her a dingo with an American flag theme paint job.
And just so I know how much you asking for the yetti.

OK so its more of a squeal like Nead Beaty hills have eyes search and rescue! Got it covered! I'll bring the banjo and strap a canoe to the top of my scx10.
For this being my first g6 am I the only one getting super excited?

In general how many batteries should one have to make it threw the even? I currently have 2 5500mah packs that I get around 1.5 hours of run time before having cut out issues.

^^That doesn't sound right....What motor/esc are you running?? I get ~1 hour and 15 minutes off a 3700 in my Wraith and that's 3s with a Roc 412. I have yet to finish off a pack in one run on my SCXs so I'm not sure how long they last but I have done >2 hours. I run a 4000 on one and two 2200s on the other.

you are running a higher voltage with a lower KV than I am which would explain the better efficiency. for example when running 4s in my 8th scale I get 12 mins on a 4600 pack on a 1900kv motor. when running 6s on a 1400kv motor I get 20 mins on 3300 both geared for the same speed.

I am running a 17.5 geared 87/20 on a 2s 5500mah.

2-3 5000mah should be plenty to get you thru the stage.

Drop that pinion to a 16-18t..Lots more rock crawling this year."thumbsup"

I will do that. This is going to be my 1st comp ever if I am able to get away for the weekend. I just want to make sure I am properly prepared for my best chances at completing the even.

Well that's an order I have to make. I'll have to search the threads on her to find best combos. All my rigs are stock. Have not gotten into over and under drive yet.
